The Crooked Spire Chesterfield Greeting Card

The Chesterfield Crooked Spire is a well-known landmark located in the town of Chesterfield, in Derbyshire, England. The spire is a part of the Church of Saint Mary and All Saints, which is also known as the "Crooked Spire Church" due to the unusual twist in its spire.

The Crooked Spire was built in the 14th century, and its twist is thought to have been caused by the weight of the lead tiles on its wooden frame, combined with the uneven settling of the ground. Despite its crooked appearance, the spire has stood for over 700 years and has become a popular tourist attraction.

The church itself is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture, with stained glass windows and intricate stonework. It has a long history, having been used as a place of worship since the 12th century.

Suitable for all occasions.

I always buy my cards from here. I particularly like this one as it shows our local Spire and it can be sent to both males and females.
